Audio visual services
If you’re booking the Amaryllis Fleming Concert Hall, Performance Space, Performance Hall, or Britten Theatre, the RCM’s in-house studio team offers a range of professional services to support and enhance your event. Our experience, expertise and equipment are specifically tailored to the College’s venues and we are specialists in music-based events. We work with a wide range of commercial clients throughout each year, from individual performers and concert promoters to major broadcasters. We’re happy to help you work out exactly what you need and will provide a tailored solution to match.
Many events require amplification, from a basic sound system, for announcements and speeches, through to full music reinforcement for a band, jazz group or orchestra. We can also supply HD video projection on a large screen in a range of configurations for PowerPoint, Keynote presentations, video screening and so on.
Our standard sound packages are:
A. Simple speech/replay system (up to 3 wired mics + CD player and laptop/iPod input) – up to 8 hours on site with 1 engineer: £700 (Sundays: £950)
B. Basic music amplification (up to 16 wired mics and 4 monitors) – up to 8 hours on site with 2 engineers: £1200 (Sundays: £1400)
Our most popular extras, subject to availability:
- HD video projector and 3m or 5m screen: £600/day
- Laptop for PowerPoint/Keynote: £50/day
- Wireless microphones (lapel, headworn or handheld): £50/day each
- Additional cabled microphones: £10-20/day each
- Additional speakers for stage monitoring etc: £15/day each
- Many other items of equipment available on request, such as guitar amps, keyboards, DI boxes, TVs, effects units: please ask for quotation.
Alternatively, for very basic events where the only requirement is to amplify one person speaking, we can supply a standalone microphone and loudspeaker (without engineer) for £100/day.
