Getting here

We are located in South Kensington, London, directly opposite the Royal Albert Hall. Our address is Prince Consort Road, London SW7 2BS.

The nearest underground station is South Kensington (District, Circle, and Piccadilly lines), just a 10-minute walk away. Several bus routes also serve the area.

While we do not have on-site parking, there are several public car parks nearby, including Imperial College Parking, Prince Consort Road street parking or Hyde Park Parking. We do have loading bays for deliveries that can be booked when you hire the venue.

From Heathrow, take the Piccadilly Line directly to South Kensington. From Central London, the District and Circle lines also serve South Kensington station.

Yes, there are numerous hotels within walking distance, ranging from luxury to budget-friendly options. We’re happy to recommend local accommodation options.

Accessibility

Yes, all our main event spaces are wheelchair accessible. We are committed to providing an inclusive experience for all guests.

Yes, accessible toilets are available throughout the building, and we ensure all facilities meet modern accessibility standards.

Yes, lifts and ramps are available to ensure easy access to all public areas and event spaces and our fantastic team are on hand to help wherever needed.

An induction loop is installed in the Amaryllis Fleming Concert Hall and assisted listening is available in the Performance Hall and Studio. Please let us know in advance if you require this service.

Venue hire costs vary depending on the space, duration, and nature of your event. Please contact us for a tailored quote by enquiring through our website enquiry form or by emailing venuehire@rcm.ac.uk

We require a 50% deposit to secure the booking. The cancellation terms are then as follows:

(a) Over 60 days’ notice – 50% of the total Hire Charge;
(b) 31 to 60 days’ notice – 75% of the total Hire Charge;
(c) 30 days’ notice or less – 100% of the total Hire Charge is due.

Event planning

Yes, our experienced Events Team is here to support you from initial enquiry through to event delivery and will be with you on the day to ensure everything runs smoothly.

We ask that you choose from our list of accredited suppliers who are familiar with our venue and facilities. Your event manager can support with recommendations to suit your style and budget.

Yes, We do offer our students as performers, if you would like to hire one of our talented musicians please be in touch with our Creative Careers centre at: engagements@rcm.ac.uk.

Pianos are available to use in the majority of our venues; We do not hire out percussion or other instruments at the Royal College of Music.

Yes, complimentary Wi-Fi is available throughout the venue for both guests and event organisers.

Yes, rehearsal time can be arranged as part of your booking. Please let us know your requirements when making your enquiry.

Absolutely. Our spaces are flexible and can be configured to suit your event’s needs. We’ll work with you to create the perfect setup.

Venue hire

Our event spaces can accommodate anything from large gala dinners to smaller private dining events. The Amaryllis Fleming Concert Hall seats up to 160 guests for a formal dinner, while our more intimate spaces such as the RCM Museum are ideal for private dinners of up to 10, with beautiful options in between.

The Amaryllis Fleming Concert Hall seats up to 370 guests, making it ideal for concerts, recitals, and large-scale performances. Other spaces, such as the Performance Hall offer flexible seating for up to 140, while our elegant Britten Theatre can seat up to 390.

Yes, we offer flexible Venue Hire options that allow you to book multiple spaces for your event. This is ideal for conferences, performances or events requiring breakout areas.

Absolutely. The Royal College of Music offers a unique and historic setting for private events including birthday dinners, anniversary receptions and celebrating your important milestones. Our team can help tailor the space to your vision.

Our experienced in-house Studios team are able to offer a wide range of AV and technical support. Additionally, we have accredited production suppliers who can support with larger or more complex events. Please see our Accredited Suppliers list for full details.

Yes. The Amaryllis Fleming Concert Hall, Britten Theatre, and Performance Hall are great spaces for recording. Our experienced Studios team provide technical support to ensure high quality, professional recordings.
